Organic Ginger (Sunthi) Powder is certified organic dried Zingiber officinale rhizome, taken in Ayurveda for the settled, unburdened feeling that should follow a meal. Sunthi names the dried rhizome, from the Sanskrit sense of that which has been dried, and the classics also list it as Nagara and Vishvabheshaja. Ayurvedic Energetics: Rasa Katu (pungent), Virya Ushna (heating), Vipaka Madhura (sweet). It balances Vata and Kapha and may raise Pitta.

Ayurvedic Significance

Ayurveda holds that food which is not fully digested leaves Ama, a sticky residue that obstructs the Srotas and dulls the body. Sunthi is the classical answer: a Pachana dravya whose Ushna Virya and Tikshna quality help the body work that residue through, and an Anulomana influence that keeps Vata moving in its proper downward direction through Purishavaha Srotas. Rasa Dhatu is nourished more evenly when Agni is steady.

Key Benefits

  • Settled After Eating: traditionally taken so the abdomen feels light rather than weighed down.
  • Pachana of Ama: helps the body work through the residue of incompletely digested food.
  • Vata Anulomana: encourages Vata to keep to its natural downward course.
  • Warmth in Cold Weather: an Ushna dravya that counters the damp heaviness of the Kapha season.

Ingredients

Each 10 g of powder contains: Sunthi (Ginger), Zingiber officinale, Rhizome - 10 g.

Suggested Use
