9858 Joint & Muscle Support 60 Tablets Guggulu Traditional Ayurvedic Formula Ayurveda

Yograj Guggulu is one of Ayurveda's most respected classical formulations for Vata and the joints. Its name reflects its standing: Yograj can be read as "the king of formulations", and it centres on purified Guggulu resin combined with a large family of warming, digestive and Vata-soothing herbs.

Ayurvedic Significance

In Ayurveda, stiffness, catching and discomfort in the joints and muscles are understood as aggravated Vata, often with Ama blocking the srotas (channels), a pattern known as Sandhigata Vata. Yograj Guggulu is a classically Vatahara, Deepana-Pachana and Lekhana formulation. Guggulu is the potent Vata-pacifier that kindles Agni, digests Ama and clears the blockages so that Vata moves in its proper direction, while the warming Ushna, Agnideepana herbs of the blend support digestion and comfortable, easy movement.

Traditional Uses and Benefits

  • Joint comfort: Traditionally used to support the joints and comfortable, easy movement.
  • Muscle support: Valued for easing stiffness in the muscles and soft tissue.
  • Vata balance: Directed at the dry, mobile quality of aggravated Vata.
  • Ama clearing: The warming herbs help kindle Agni and clear Ama from the channels.
  • Active lifestyle: A classic choice for those wanting to stay mobile and comfortable.

These reflect traditional Ayurvedic uses and are not statements of medical effect.

Key Ingredients

  • Shuddha Guggulu (Commiphora mukul): the purified Vata-pacifying resin at the heart of the formulation.
  • Triphala (Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Amalaki): supporting gentle cleansing and the tissues.
  • Chitraka, Pippali, Maricha and Shunthi: warming, Agni-kindling herbs.
  • Rasna, Gokshura, Guduchi and Ashwagandha: classical herbs for the joints and strength.
  • Loha Bhasma with aromatic herbs such as Tvak, Ela and Lavanga, formulated to traditional Ayurvedic principles.

Suggested Use

Traditionally taken as two tablets, two to three times daily with lukewarm water, or as advised by your Ayurvedic practitioner. Warm water is the usual Anupana (vehicle), and classical texts also pair it with Dashamoola or Maharasnadi decoction for the joints. For guidance suited to your constitution, it is worth consulting a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.

Safety & Certifications

  • Made to GMP standards: manufactured under strict quality control with authentically sourced herbs.
  • Classical formulation: a time-tested Guggulu preparation for the joints and Vata.
  • During pregnancy or breastfeeding: best used on the advice of a qualified practitioner.
  • Ongoing joint conditions: those under care are encouraged to use it as supportive care alongside a practitioner's guidance.
  • Storage: keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of the reach of children.

Additional Information

This formulation is written in several ways, including Yograj Guggulu, Yogaraj Guggulu and Yogaraja Guggul. The word Guggulu refers to the purified resin of Commiphora mukul, and Bhasma to a classically processed preparation. These variations simply reflect different transliterations of the original Sanskrit and regional Indian names and refer to the same classical preparation.
