Kshirabala Oil is the standard grade of a formulation whose name states its method: Kshira, milk, and Bala (Sida cordifolia), the herb whose Sanskrit name means strength. Bala is decocted in milk and taken up by a Certified Organic sesame base. This plain taila is the preparation from which the graded avartana oils are built, and in a 100 ml bottle it is an easy size for a first trial of head and body oleation.

Ayurvedic Significance

Kerala practice knows Kshirabala in grades. Repeating the milk-and-decoction cycle over the same oil produces the avartana preparations, of which Ksheerabala 101 is the best known; this bottle is the standard taila that stands beneath them. Bala is a Balya and Vatahara dravya, cooling and sweet, and the Kshira softens its astringency. Applied as Shiro Abhyanga it is a form of Snehana, and practitioners also direct the avartana grades through Nasya, the nasal route, under their own supervision.

Key Benefits

  • Nerve comfort: Bala is the classical strengthening dravya, chosen where ease and steadiness are wanted.
  • Light on the skin: the milk processing gives a taila that absorbs without the heaviness of a plain sesame oil.
  • Cooling for Pitta: sweet and cooling in effect, comfortable on a scalp that runs warm.
  • A trial-size bottle: 100 ml is enough to learn whether a regular oleation routine suits you.
  • Classical grade: the standard preparation, made to the traditional method rather than a modern blend.

Ingredients

Each 100 ml of Certified Organic Sesame oil (Sesamum indicum), the oil base, is processed with a milk decoction of Bala (Sida cordifolia), root, and Cow's milk (Kshira).

100% Certified Organic Herbally Infused Oil. Carefully packaged in opaque, light-protective bottles to reduce light exposure and help preserve product quality. All certified organic Gopala Herbs are sourced from jungle farms in South India, located in the biodiverse Western Ghats where plants naturally develop higher concentrations of active constituents. Herbs are ethically harvested using traditional harvesting techniques at peak maturity, helping ensure maximum potency, nutrition and energetic integrity.

Suggested Use

Warm a small quantity and massage it into the scalp and body, working slowly outward from the crown. Leave twenty minutes, then rinse off with warm water. For classical Nasya, Anu Taila and practitioner supervision are the proper route. Consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.

Additional Information

The same oil is written Kshirabala, Ksheerabala, Ksheera Bala, Kshirabala Thailam and Ksheerabalathailam. Sanskrit carries no single agreed spelling in the Roman alphabet, and every one of these forms points to the identical classical milk-processed Bala preparation.
