Chyavanaprasam is the best known of all Ayurvedic rejuvenatives, named for the sage Chyavana, who by tradition recovered his youth through it; prasha means a preparation taken by the spoonful. Built on Amalaki, the foremost rasayana fruit and the only one that pacifies all three doshas at once, it is traditionally taken to build ojas.

Chyavanaprasam by Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal is a classical Ayurvedic herbal jam built on a base of Amalaki, one of Ayurveda's richest natural sources of antioxidants. Chyawanprash is among the most treasured Rasayanas in the tradition; legend attributes it to the sage Chyavana, who is said to have regained youth and vigour through the formulation that now bears his name.
Ayurvedic Significance
In Ayurveda, day-to-day resilience rests on Ojas, the subtle essence of strength and immunity, and on strong Agni. Chyavanprash is a classically Rasayana (rejuvenating) and Balya (strengthening) formulation with a special affinity for the Pranavaha Srotas, the channels of breathing. The Amalaki base kindles Agni and nourishes the tissues, while Dashamoola, Pippali and Guduchi support the chest, comfortable breathing and the body's natural defences, giving a warming, immunity-supporting character valued through the changing seasons.
