Bhumiamla Tablets hold the whole plant of Phyllanthus niruri. The Sanskrit name Bhumi Amalaki means the Amalaki of the earth, given because the leaves of this low-lying shrub echo the pattern of the Amalaki tree. Each 500mg tablet is the pure herb. Its energetics are Tikta, Kashaya and Madhura rasa, Sheeta virya and Madhura vipaka, with dry and light Guna, pacifying Pitta and Kapha while mildly raising Vata.

Ayurvedic Significance

Bhumi Amalaki is the classical Yakrit herb, working on the liver as the seat of Ranjaka Pitta and on Annavaha, Mutravaha and Raktavaha Srotas. Its bitter, cooling and light qualities are Pachana in nature, helping the body clear Ama that settles in these channels and lightening Kapha stagnation. Practitioners turn to it when Pitta runs high in Rakta Dhatu and metabolic balance needs support. It nourishes Rasa, Rakta and Meda Dhatu, and is regarded as a gentle Rasayana for the liver rather than a forceful cleanser.

Key Benefits

  • Classical liver support: Ayurveda's foremost Yakrit herb, traditionally used to support the natural function of the liver.
  • Metabolic wellness: The light, dry qualities support healthy Agni and the steady metabolism of Meda Dhatu.
  • Pitta balance: Cooling and bitter, it settles excess Pitta seated in the blood and the digestive channels.
  • Ama clearing: Its Pachana action is traditionally used to help the body clear accumulated Ama from the Srotas.
  • Urinary channel comfort: Classical sources also place Bhumi Amalaki among herbs supporting free flow through Mutravaha Srotas.

Ingredients

Each 500 mg tablet contains — Bhumi Amalaki (Phyllanthus niruri), prepared using a combination of whole herb powder and standardized extract for a balanced formulation. The tablets are 100% natural and plant-based, produced without using any fillers, binders, or artificial additives.

All Prana Ayurveda herbs are sourced from select wild regions of India, where they naturally develop higher concentrations of active constituents.

Suggested Use

The traditional serving is one to two tablets twice daily. Warm water is the classical Anupana and suits this bitter, cooling herb best.
