Kapha Balancing Oil is a warming, stimulating abhyanga oil crafted to invigorate the body and skin during daily self-massage. Kapha is the Ayurvedic quality set that runs heavy, cool, damp and slow; when it gathers, the body can feel sluggish, dull and congested. Built on organic sesame oil and infused with warming herbs, this blend brings gentle heat and lively movement to the skin. Massaged in with brisk strokes, it helps the limbs feel light and comfortable and supports a refreshed, energised start to the day.

Ayurvedic Significance

In Ayurvedic thinking, Kapha governs the Meda (fatty) tissue, and when Kapha-Meda accumulates the body feels heavy and static. This oil is valued for its Ushna, or warming, nature, which kindles Agni at the level of the skin and gently counters cool, damp qualities. Its Lekhana, or lightening, action is traditionally used to help the body feel less congested, while its Srotoshodhana quality supports the clear flow of the bodily channels. Warming abhyanga also engages Vyana Vata, the movement that carries circulation to the periphery. Practised regularly, this age-old abhyanga tradition keeps Kapha in balance and the body feeling mobile.

Key Benefits

  • Warming, invigorating massage: a brisk self-massage with this gently heating oil brings warmth and movement to skin that feels cool, heavy or slow.
  • Supports light, comfortable limbs: regular abhyanga helps the arms and legs feel lighter, easing the weighed-down feeling linked with excess Kapha.
  • Morning stimulation: used first thing, the oil gives an enlivening start, helping you feel awake and ready for the day.
  • Healthy circulation: warming strokes toward the heart support healthy circulation and a lively, well-nourished feeling across the skin.
  • Skin conditioning: sesame oil and the infused herbs condition and soften the skin, leaving it supple rather than dry.

100% Certified Organic Herbally Infused Oil. Carefully packaged in opaque, light-protective bottles to reduce light exposure and help preserve product quality. All Gopala Herbs are sourced from jungle farms in South India, located in the biodiverse Western Ghats where plants naturally develop higher concentrations of active constituents. Herbs are ethically harvested using traditional harvesting techniques at peak maturity, helping ensure maximum potency, nutrition and energetic integrity.

Suggested Use

For external use. Warm the oil slightly and apply generously over the body before a warm bath or shower. Massage with brisk strokes, working toward the heart, since Kapha responds well to stimulation. Leave it on for fifteen to twenty minutes to absorb, then wash off with warm water and a mild cleanser. Mornings work best. Use daily as part of your abhyanga routine, or as guided by your Ayurvedic practitioner.
