Kanchanar Guggulu is a traditional Ayurvedic formula used for kapha accumulations in the tissues. Breaks down deep-seated kapha, supports proper function of the lymphatic system and Promotes elimination of toxins. The addition of kanchanara (Baubinia variegata) makes this compound useful for swollen glands, particularly in the head and neck region, and for fistulas or draining sinuses. It also scrapes fat from the body. Kanchanar is a very astringent herb that helps to counter the moist, stagnant qualities of kapha. When mixed with triphala, trikatu and guggulu it becomes a powerful detoxifying agent that removes excess kapha from the tissues.
Uses: Kanchanar Guggulu is used to support the healthy function of the Thyroid and to cleanse the lymphatic system. It also helps minimize the future accumulation of kapha by enkindling the digestive fire and promoting healthy elimination. It supports healthy tissues including muscles, fat and bones as well as the thyroid and the lymphatic system.
Kanchanar is the herb of choice in all-glandular diseases. Traditionally used in India for thyroid diseases and glandular enlargements, it has a balancing activity on the thyroxine production; increasing any deficient production and decreasing any excess.
