Organic Neem Powder is certified organic Nimba, kept in Indian households for generations for comfortable skin and a settled Pitta. The classics call the tree Arishta, the one that remains unharmed, and Picumarda. Ayurvedic Energetics: Rasa Tikta and Kashaya (bitter and astringent), Virya Shita (cooling), Vipaka Katu (pungent). Nimba lowers Pitta and Kapha and raises Vata, so the Anupana is chosen with care.
Ayurvedic Significance
Where a constitution runs warm and damp at once, Ayurveda reaches for a dravya that is cooling and drying together, and few answer both as squarely as Nimba. It is classed as Kandughna, that which settles irritation, and Twachya, that which favours the skin, working through Rasavaha and Svedavaha Srotas where Pitta and Kapha meet at the surface of the body. Its Lekhana or scraping quality reduces rather than builds.
Key Benefits
- Comfortable Skin: the classical Kandughna dravya, long used where the skin feels warm or irritated.
- Cooling for Summer: Shita Virya makes it the herb of the hot, Pitta-provoking months.
- Drying for Damp Weather: Ruksha and Laghu in quality, so it counters Kapha accumulation.
- Traditional Lepa Herb: the same powder serves as an external paste for face and scalp.
Ingredients
Each 10 g of powder contains: Nimba (Neem), Azadirachta indica, Stem Bark - 10 g.
Pure, Organically grown, Unprocessed, Dried powdered herb packed in air-tight zip locked Kraft pouch to maintain aroma and freshness.
Suggested Use
Take ¼ teaspoon once or twice daily with a little honey, which carries the herb's pronounced bitterness comfortably. Best taken before food. Nimba is strongly bitter and cooling, so begin at the lower amount. Consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for dosage and duration suited to your constitution (Prakriti).

Additional Information
Nimba is variously written Nimba, Nim, Nimb and Neemba, and named Arishta or Picumarda in the classics. These are transliterations of a single Sanskrit dravya, not different herbs.
