Vidaaryadi Lehyam is a classical nutritive herbal jam named for Vidari, the Indian kudzu tuber that leads the formula; adi means “and others”, and lehyam denotes the semi-solid jam taken by the spoonful. Vidari is the archetypal jeevaniya or life-giving herb of Ayurveda, sweet and cooling in nature, and it is joined here by Ashwagandha, Musali, Gokshura and the two Panchamoola root groups. Jaggery, honey and ghee bind the whole into a rich preparation similar in spirit to Chyawanprash.

Ayurvedic Significance

This preparation belongs to the brimhana class — formulations meant to build and nourish rather than reduce. Its herbs are drawn largely from the jeevaniya and balya groups, the ones Ayurveda associates with vitality and physical strength, and the sweet, unctuous base is chosen to settle both vata and pitta. Ghee and honey act as yogavahi, carriers that help the herbal qualities reach the deeper tissues. Preparations of this kind are traditionally taken through demanding seasons of work and as a steady daily tonic.

Traditional Uses & Benefits

  • Traditionally taken to support healthy body weight and well-nourished tissues.
  • Valued as a daily tonic for steady energy and stamina.
  • Supports comfortable muscles and natural recovery after physical exertion.
  • Traditionally used to support easy, comfortable breathing.
  • Sweet, cooling herbs that support a settled, well-hydrated system.

Key Ingredients

  • Vidari (Pueraria tuberosa): the lead tuber, sweet and cooling, classically valued as a life-giving nourisher.
  • Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera): the well-known rasayana root for strength and steady stamina.
  • Musali (Chlorophytum tuberosum): a nourishing tuber traditionally used to support vigour.
  • Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris): valued for supporting healthy urinary function and physical strength.
  • Laghu Panchamoola: the five lesser roots, a classical group supporting comfortable movement.
  • Ela (Elettaria cardamomum) & Vishwa (Zingiber officinale): aromatics keeping the rich jam easy to digest.

Formulated according to the traditional principles of Ayurveda.

Suggested Use

Vidaaryadi Lehyam is traditionally taken by the spoonful after food, followed by a cup of warm milk or water. Because it is nourishing and rich, it suits people whose digestion is already steady, and it is often taken through the cooler months. The quantity and the length of the course should be determined by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, who will match them to your constitution and digestive strength.

Safety & Certifications

Manufactured in a GMP-certified Ayurvedic facility under the standards laid down by India’s AYUSH ministry, with each batch checked for the identity and purity of its raw herbs. This is a herbal food supplement and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Contains ghee, honey and jaggery. Not suitable for anyone with a known sensitivity to any listed ingredient. Keep out of reach of children.

Additional Information

This formulation is also written as Vidaryadi Lehyam, Vidaaryadi Leham, Vidaryadi Leha and Vidaryadi Lehya. These are simply different transliterations of the same Sanskrit name into English, all referring to one traditional formulation. A lehyam is a semi-solid herbal jam, so its consistency naturally stiffens in cool weather and loosens in warm. Some variation in colour, aroma and taste between batches is expected with herbal preparations.

Fulfilment Notice: This is a classical Ayurvedic herbal jam prepared by several reputable manufacturers to the same traditional specification.
