Yograj Guggul draws its name from two Sanskrit words: yoga, a formulated combination, and raja, king. Ayurvedic tradition places it at the head of the Guggulu group. Each 350mg tablet carries twenty-four classical herbs alongside Guggulu resin purified in a Dashamoola decoction. Pungent spices such as Shunthi, Pippali and Chavya sit beside the three fruits of Triphala. The result is a warming, mobilising blend long valued for muscle ease, supple joints and settled Vata.
Ayurvedic Significance
Ayurveda traces heaviness in the limbs and reluctant movement to Vata disturbed by Ama, which settles into the Mamsa and Asthi Dhatu and narrows the Srotas. This formulation works from the digestive fire outward. Deepana and Pachana spices help metabolise Ama; the Triphala fruits gently clear what has loosened; and Guggulu, prized as a Yogavahi, escorts the whole preparation into the deeper tissues. Its Ushna Virya and Snigdha quality answer the dry, cold traits of aggravated Vata, which is why classical practice regards it as a Rasayana for the moving frame of the body.
Key Benefits
- Comfortable Muscles and Limbs: The warming spices and purified resin support the Mamsa Dhatu, helping the body feel at ease after exertion or a long day on the feet.
- Supple, Free Movement: Traditional use focuses on the Sandhi, encouraging smooth, unhindered movement through the ordinary bending and reaching of daily life.
- Warmth Where Vata Runs Dry: Ushna and Snigdha in nature, the tablets counter the cold, light and mobile qualities that leave the body feeling stiff and unsettled.
- Digestive Fire and Ama Clearance: Shunthi, Chavya, Ajamoda and Hingu act as Deepana and Pachana herbs, so that metabolic residue is broken down rather than left to gather.
- Classical Rasayana Strength: The Triphala share and Guggulu together lend the rejuvenating, tissue-nourishing character that classical texts attribute to this preparation.

Suggested Use
Two 350mg tablets are traditionally taken twice daily after food, swallowed with warm water. Maharasnadi Kwatha, Dashamoolarishta or a little honey are the classical Anupanas where a practitioner suggests them. A dose taken in the early evening suits those who notice stiffness settling in overnight. For dosage and duration suited to your constitution (Prakriti), consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.

Additional Information
This preparation appears in catalogues as Yograj Guggul, Yogaraj Guggulu, Yogaraja Guggul or Yograj Gulgulu. Guggul, Guggulu and Gulgulu are only different transliterations from Sanskrit of the one word for purified Commiphora mukul resin, so every spelling names the same classical formulation. The twenty-four herb list above is given as recorded in the classical text.
