Vimala Varti is an Ayurvedic collyrium medicine, used in the treatment of eye disorders such as cataract, itching etc. This medicine should be used strictly under medical supervision. his is formulated based on Kerala Ayurveda Principle.
Vimala Varti uses: It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of cataract, itching, burning sensation, etc.
Effect on Tridosha - Balances Pitta and Kapha in the eyes.
Vimala Varti dosage: It is applied as a paste or collyrium on the inner side of the eyelids.
Vimala Varti Ingredients:
10 g fine powder of each of:
- Madhuka - Licorice - Glycyrrhiza glabra
- Maricha - Black pepper - Piper nigrum
- Pippali - Long pepper fruit - Piper longum
- Lodhra - Lodh tree (bark) - Symplocos racemosa
- Daru Haridra - Tree Turmeric (stem) - Berberis aristata
- Haritaki - Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind - Terminalia chebula
- Vibhitaki - Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind - Terminalia bellirica
- Amalaki - Indian gooseberry fruit - Emblica officinalis Gaertn.
- Himambu - Cold water

Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS) is a century old Charitable Institution engaged in the practice and propagation of Ayurveda, the ancient health care system of India. AVS offers classical Ayurvedic medicines and authentic Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to patients from all over India and abroad.
AVS was established at Kottakkal in Kerala State of India in 1902 by the visionary physician and philanthropist, the late Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier.
