Gopala Punarnava Capsules offer a renewing Ayurvedic herb for the kidneys and fluid balance in a certified-organic capsule. Their core purpose is to support healthy kidney function, comfortable urinary flow and balanced fluids. The Sanskrit name Punarnava means "that which renews" or "makes new again" (punar, again; nava, new), reflecting the herb's reputation for restoring vitality. In its energetics it is bitter, astringent and sweet, light and drying, and gently diuretic; it soothes Vata and Pitta and can mildly increase Kapha only in excess.

Ayurvedic Significance

Punarnava works chiefly on the Mutravaha Srotas (urinary channels) and on Rakta Dhatu. As a nourishing diuretic (Mutral) it is traditionally used to support healthy kidney function, encourage the gentle, balanced movement of fluids and ease the sense of water retention, while nourishing rather than depleting the tissues. It also lends supportive, cleansing action to the liver and the blood, and is classically paired with Gokshura for the urinary system.

Key Benefits

  • Kidney wellness: traditionally used to support healthy kidney function.
  • Healthy fluid balance: a nourishing Mutral (diuretic) that supports comfortable fluid movement.
  • Renewing tonic: its very name speaks to its restoring, revitalising reputation.
  • Supports liver and blood: lends gentle, cleansing support to the tissues.
  • Vata and Pitta balance: soothing while it gently clears.

Pure, organically grown, unprocessed, dried powdered herb in a vegetarian (vegetable cellulose) capsule, 500 mg organic herb per capsule, packed in an air-tight container to maintain aroma and freshness. All Gopala herbs are sourced from jungle farms in South India, in the biodiverse Western Ghats, where plants naturally develop higher concentrations of active constituents. Herbs are ethically harvested using traditional techniques at peak maturity, helping ensure maximum potency, nutrition and energetic integrity.

Suggested Use

Traditionally, two capsules are taken twice daily, with warm water as the preferred Anupana (vehicle); it is often combined with Gokshura for the urinary channels, and drinking ample water through the day is helpful.
