Pitta Balancing Oil is a cooling abhyanga oil crafted for warm, sharp constitutions. Pitta is the hot, penetrating, slightly oily quality that governs transformation in the body, and when it runs high the skin and the mood can feel heated and easily provoked. Infused in cow's milk with fragrant sandalwood over a certified organic sesame base, this gentle massage oil settles that warmth, leaving skin calm, comfortable and softly conditioned after a slow, unhurried self-massage. It suits hot weather and heated days especially well.

Ayurvedic Significance

In Ayurveda, Pitta shares an intimate relationship with Rakta, and the two are traditionally soothed together through cooling, Sheeta-quality care. Bhrajaka Pitta expresses itself at the surface of the skin, governing complexion and warmth, while Sadhaka Pitta shapes clarity and emotional steadiness of the mind. A milk-and-sandalwood taila carries a naturally cool, calming influence that helps temper this heat where it gathers. Regular abhyanga is especially valued for warm constitutions and Pitta-predominant seasons, offering a grounding ritual that quiets an active mind, settles surface heat and invites a sense of ease across body and spirit.

Key Benefits

  • Cooling abhyanga ritual – the milk and sandalwood base lends a naturally cool feel that makes each massage refreshing and calming.
  • Soothes heated skin – gentle herbs help settle the sensation of warmth at the surface, leaving skin feeling comfortable and calm.
  • Calming for the mind – the grounding aroma and unhurried strokes quiet an active, busy mind and encourage relaxation.
  • Comfort in warm weather – a welcome choice for hot days and Pitta-predominant seasons when the body craves coolness.
  • Softening and conditioning – the sesame base nourishes the skin, leaving it supple and smooth.

Suggested Use

For external use only. Use the oil at room temperature or slightly cool, as Pitta prefers less heat. Massage a generous amount into the skin with smooth, calm strokes and let it rest for fifteen to twenty minutes to absorb. Rinse with cool to lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.
