Organic Sariva Powder is a cooling single-herb churna traditionally taken to support healthy blood and a naturally even skin tone. The Sanskrit name Sariva comes from the root sr, to flow or to spread, describing both the plant's trailing habit and its classical action of moving through the body's channels; it is also called Anantamula, the endless root. Ayurvedic energetics: Rasa Madhura and Tikta, Virya Shita, Vipaka Madhura. Sweet, heavy and cooling, it settles Pitta and steadies Vata.
Ayurvedic Significance
Classical nighantus place Sariva among the Raktaprasadana dravyas, the herbs said to favour the healthy quality of Rakta dhatu, and among the Varnya group associated with a natural, even complexion. Its Shita virya answers the heat carried by aggravated Pitta, while the sweet vipaka nourishes Rasa and Rakta rather than depleting them. Practitioners work with it in the Raktavaha and Mutravaha srotas, and value its Snigdha, unctuous quality where Pitta has left tissue dry and irritable. Long use has also earned it standing as a gentle Rasayana.
Key Benefits
- Healthy Blood Support: Raktaprasadana, the classical term for supporting the healthy quality of the Rakta dhatu.
- Cooling Pitta Balance: A Shita virya herb for the hot, sharp qualities that rise when Pitta is aggravated.
- Varnya, Natural Complexion: Traditionally taken to support an even skin tone and a naturally clear look to the skin.
- Comfortable Urinary Function: Valued in the Mutravaha srotas for its cooling, demulcent character.
- Gentle Rasayana: A nourishing rather than depleting herb, sweet in taste and sweet in post-digestive effect.
