Chandraprabha DS is a double-strength preparation of Chandraprabha Vati, a classical formula of the Sarngadhara Samhita. Chandra means moon and Prabha means radiance, so the name reads as moon glow, and it is also the classical synonym for camphor, the first dravya in this formula. The blend is traditionally taken to support healthy urinary function, steady Agni and everyday vitality. This jar holds 1000 tablets.

Ayurvedic Significance

Chandraprabha is a broad formula, and the classical texts give it a broad brief. It works on the Mutravaha Srotas, the channels that carry fluid outward, and on Kapha and Meda where heaviness gathers. Silajitu and Guggulu bring the Rasayana and Lekhana qualities together, Guduchi cools and steadies, and the Trikatu and Triphala groups keep Agni bright and the passage downward easy. The Sarngadhara Samhita counts it among the preparations taken over a long, measured course, under guidance.

Key Benefits

  • Healthy urinary function: the classical texts direct this formula at the Mutravaha Srotas, the channels through which fluid leaves the body.
  • Steady vitality: Silajitu is among the foremost Rasayana dravyas, traditionally taken to build Ojas and unhurried, day-to-day stamina.
  • Strong Agni: the Trikatu group of Sunti, Maricha and Pippali is the classical Deepana trio, valued for brisk and complete digestion.
  • Comfortable regularity: the Triphala group of Abhaya, Amalaki and Vibhitaki supports Anulomana and an easy daily rhythm.
  • Kapha balance: Guggulu carries the Lekhana quality, traditionally chosen where the tissues feel heavy and slow.

Suggested Use

One tablet twice daily, after food, with lukewarm water, or as directed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. This is a double-strength tablet, so a practitioner will usually set a smaller count than for the standard Vati. Gokshuradi Guggulu is a well-matched classical companion.

Safety & Certifications

  • WHO GMP certification: made by AVN Ayurveda Formulations of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, in a WHO GMP certified facility.
  • Authentic sourcing: every dravya in this long formula is identified and sourced against the classical specification before the batch is charged.
  • Strict quality standards: every batch is tested for heavy metals using state-of-the-art ICP-OES equipment.

  • Practitioner guidance: this preparation contains Makshikadhatu, Dwikshara, Lavanatraya, Hataloha and Silajitu, traditionally processed classical constituents, alongside the potent dravyas Trivrit and Danti. Take this preparation under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, who will set the serving and the length of the course.
  • Salt and sugar content: Lavanatraya and Sita are both present, so mention this preparation to your practitioner if you keep an eye on either in your daily food.
  • Considered use: if you are pregnant, nursing or already following a plan of care, speak with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner before starting.
  • Storage: keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture, and out of reach of children.
