Gokshura Powder is taken across the long course that comfortable, unforced urinary flow actually calls for. Gokshura is Tribulus terrestris, the spiny little creeper the Sanskrit names for the cow, Go, and the hoof, Kshura, and which the classics also call Svadamshtra, the sweet-thorned. Ayurvedic Energetics: Rasa Madhura (sweet), Virya Shita (cooling), Vipaka Madhura (sweet). Guru and Snigdha in Guna, it is a Vata-Pitta shamaka dravya.
Ayurvedic Significance
Apana Vata is the downward-moving aspect of Vata, seated below the navel, and Ayurveda holds it responsible for release and for the steady rhythm of the Mutravaha Srotas. Gokshura is the dravya the classics turn to there, and it works in a way most of that group does not: being Madhura and Snigdha rather than sharp, it settles Apana Vata by grounding it rather than by pushing, while its Shita Virya keeps Pitta from rising alongside.
Key Benefits
- Comfortable Urinary Flow: the Mutravaha Srotas dravya of the classics.
- Apana Vata Settling: grounding the downward-moving Vata rather than forcing it.
- Ojas Rasayana: counted among the dravyas said to build the vital reserve.
- Sweet, Not Sharp: Madhura and Snigdha, so it nourishes where others deplete.
Ingredients
Each 10 g of powder contains: Gokshura, Tribulus terrestris - 10 g.
Pure, Organically grown, Unprocessed, Dried powdered herb packed in air-tight zip locked Kraft pouch to maintain aroma and freshness.
Suggested Use
Take ½ to 1 teaspoon twice daily in warm milk, before meals. Gokshura is customarily given at a fuller amount than most churnas, and warm milk matches its Madhura, Snigdha character over a long course. Additional Information
