Organic Avipattikar Churna is a classical Ayurvedic churna built around Trivrit, Lavanga and the three myrobalans, taken before meals to keep Pitta settled and Agni steady. The Sanskrit name joins a (without), vipatti (an adverse turn) and kara (making): the formulation that keeps digestion from taking a wrong turn. Its combined Rasa is Madhura, Katu, Tikta and Kashaya, its Virya cooling, its Vipaka Madhura, and its overall direction pacifies Pitta while keeping Vata and Kapha steady.

Ayurvedic Significance

In practitioner terms Avipattikar addresses Pachaka Pitta seated in Amashaya and Grahani, where sharp, hot and liquid qualities gather and unsettle Agni. The Katu constituents Shunti, Maricha and Pippali act as Deepana and Pachana, rekindling Agni and helping resolve Ama, while Haritaki, Bibhitaki and Amalaki bring Kashaya and Madhura tastes that steady Rasa Dhatu. Trivrit gives the churna its Anulomana direction, encouraging Apana Vayu to move downward so that Annavaha and Purishavaha Srotas remain open. Musta and Vidanga support Grahani function, and Ela with Tejapatra carries the aroma that makes the whole blend palatable.

Key Benefits

  • Pitta Balance: cooling Vipaka and the Kashaya myrobalans help the hot, sharp qualities settle.
  • Steady Agni: the pungent trio of Shunti, Maricha and Pippali works as Deepana and Pachana to keep digestive fire even.
  • Comfortable Digestion: a classical churna taken before meals to keep the digestive process settled and easy.
  • Anulomana Support: Trivrit encourages the natural downward flow of Apana Vayu and easy regularity.
  • Gentle Detox: Musta and Vidanga support Grahani function so Ama does not linger.

Suggested Use

Adults, 1 to 2 g twice daily before meals, taken with warm water, honey or ghee as the Anupana. Warm water suits a Kapha-leaning day, while ghee softens the pungency for drier Vata constitutions. Many households pair it with Triphala Churna at night, the classical companion for continued Anulomana. Please take it with the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, who can match the quantity to your constitution and season.
