Nagarjuna Marichadi Thailam is a potent classical oil of the Rasa Shastra tradition, applied strictly externally over small, stubborn patches of skin. Because it carries traditionally processed mineral constituents alongside its herbs, it belongs in the hands of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner rather than in an unguided routine.

Maricha is black pepper, the penetrating spice that opens the recipe; adi marks the herbs that follow it, and Thailam names the finished oil.

Ayurvedic Significance

Rasa Shastra, the classical Ayurvedic discipline of mineral preparation, admits a mineral only after rigorous Shodhana processing, and reserves the resulting formulations for an experienced hand. Applied externally, an oil of this class is classically directed at stubborn skin patterns rooted in aggravated Kapha and Rakta. Its penetrating, Teekshna character is precisely the reason it is used sparingly, locally and under guidance.

Traditional Uses & Benefits

  • Local skin support: traditionally laid over small, stubborn patches of skin.
  • Targeted application: used on a defined area rather than as a whole-body oil.
  • Classical Rasa tradition: a mineral-bearing oil recorded in the classical texts.
  • Practitioner-directed use: reserved for supervised, measured application.

This is an external preparation used in traditional Ayurvedic practice and is not a statement of medical effect.

Suggested Use

For external use only, and only as directed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, who will advise exactly where, how much and for how long to apply it. Wash the hands thoroughly afterwards. This is not a preparation for unguided self-care, and no serving is suggested here for that reason.

Safety & Certifications

  • Qualified practitioner guidance: the formulation carries potent traditionally processed mineral constituents, so use it only under the direction of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
  • Strictly external: never take it internally. Keep it away from the mouth, the eyes and broken or weeping skin, and wash the hands after every application.
  • Keep from children: store securely, out of sight and reach of children.
  • Pregnancy and nursing: not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
  • Traditional preparation: made to classical Rasa Shastra method in GMP-certified facilities under strict quality control.
  • Storage: keep in a cool, dry place, tightly closed and away from direct sunlight.
