Nidco Dashmool Tail is a classical Ayurvedic massage oil built on the Dashamoola, the group of ten roots, in a sesame oil base. Made for external use, its core purpose is to warm and settle aggravated Vata during Abhyanga (oil massage), leaving the body feeling supple and at ease. The name comes from the Sanskrit Dasha (ten) and Mula (root), with Taila meaning medicated oil.

Ayurvedic Significance

The Dashamoola brings together five roots of large trees (Brihat Panchamoola) and five of shrubs (Laghu Panchamoola). Together they are among Ayurveda's most respected Vata-pacifying groups, warming and grounding by nature. Carried in Tila Taila, which is itself Vata-soothing and deeply penetrating, the oil is traditionally used for daily self-Abhyanga to calm dryness and stiffness, settle the nervous system and support comfortable, easy movement.

Key Benefits

  • Soothes aggravated Vata: the warming ten-root blend is a classical choice for settling dryness and stiffness.
  • Comforting daily massage: well suited to self-Abhyanga over the body, and gently over the head.
  • Eases everyday stiffness: traditionally applied where the body feels tired, tense or stiff.
  • Grounding and calming: the sesame base and roots lend a settling, steadying quality.
  • Simple, versatile oil: a household oil for regular Vata care.

Suggested Use

For external use only. Traditionally, a small amount is warmed slightly and massaged into the body as part of daily Abhyanga, then followed by a warm bath after a short rest. As a topical oil there is no internal Anupana. For a routine suited to your constitution (Prakriti), a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner can offer personalised guidance.

  • Prepared by the traditional Taila Paka (medicated oil) method from authentically sourced herbs; manufactured by Nidco to strict quality standards.
