Charak Alsarex is a time-honoured Ayurvedic formula crafted to ease digestive discomfort and cool excess Pitta. It brings together soothing Shankha Bhasma and Muktashukti Bhasma with Amalaki, Yashtimadhu (licorice) and Shatavari, herbs long cherished for calming the stomach and supporting a healthy mucosal lining. The classical mineral Sutshekhar Ras rounds out a balanced blend for everyday digestive ease and comfortable, settled digestion.
Ayurvedic Significance
Alsarex is understood in Ayurveda as a Pitta-pacifying formula for the upper digestive tract. When Pitta and its sharp, hot qualities aggravate the Amashaya, the sour Ama of incomplete digestion irritates the Srotas. The alkaline Shankha and Muktashukti Bhasmas, along with Suvarna Gairika, gently neutralise this excess and support Samana Vata. Amalaki and Yashtimadhu offer cooling, demulcent nourishment to the Dhatus, while Shatavari strengthens the tissue lining. Jatamansi calms the mind, and Deepana herbs such as Jeeraka rekindle balanced Agni for smooth digestion.
