Yastimadhuka Oil is named for a stick of sweetness. Yashti is a staff or stick in Sanskrit and madhu is sweet, together the ordinary name for the licorice root, which is sold as dried sticks and tastes plainly sweet. Gopala simmers that root with Amalaki and cow's milk into certified organic sesame oil, giving a 100 ml taila for unhurried daily self massage at home.

Ayurvedic Significance

Snehana, the act of oiling, is one of Ayurveda's oldest and least dramatic practices. Charaka lists daily Abhyanga among the habits that keep Jara, the ageing process, unhurried, because oil applied to the Twacha reaches the Rasa dhatu and from there supports Ojas, the refined essence that shows as steadiness and lustre. Yastimadhu and Amalaki are both counted among Rasayana dravyas, and cow's milk carries the same building quality, so this taila belongs firmly in that tradition.

Key Benefits

  • Healthy Ageing Support: daily Snehana is listed in Ayurveda among the habits that keep the skin supple as the years pass.
  • Skin Nourishment: the sweet root and Amalaki are carried inward by a sesame base that absorbs rather than sits on the surface.
  • Rasayana Character: all three ingredients belong to the building, restorative side of the classical pharmacology.
  • An Easy Place to Start: the 100 ml size is enough to establish the habit before committing to a larger bottle.
  • Sweet and Cooling: a settling oil rather than a stimulating one, suited to the end of a long day.

Ingredients

Each 100 ml of certified organic Sesame oil is processed with Cow's milk (Kshira), Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root, Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) fruit pericarp.

Herbs are ethically harvested using traditional harvesting techniques at peak maturity, helping ensure maximum potency, nutrition and energetic integrity.

Suggested Use

Warm the oil gently and rub it over the body 10 to 15 minutes before bathing, then wash off with mild soap. Massage it into dry areas and leave overnight if you wish. Consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for guidance suited to your constitution.

Additional Information

Yastimadhuka, Yashtimadhuka and Yashtimadhu are three transliterations of one Sanskrit compound, and all three appear in this range. The word joins yashti, a stick, to madhu, sweet. Classical Sanskrit also knows the root as Madhuka and Klitaka.

Chyawanprash, the Amalaki led Rasayana, is the traditional companion to this oil's outward work.
