Organic Gokshura Powder is the certified organic churna of Tribulus terrestris, taken to support healthy urinary function and steady strength. The name joins Go, the cow, to Kshura, the hoof, after the small spined fruit that catches underfoot where cattle graze; the classics also call it Trikantaka, three-thorned. Ayurvedic Energetics: Rasa Madhura (sweet), Virya Shita (cooling), Vipaka Madhura (sweet). Guru and Snigdha in Guna, it settles Vata and Pitta and is gentle enough for long use.

Ayurvedic Significance

Ayurveda places Gokshura at the Mutravaha Srotas, the channels through which the body carries and releases fluid, and reads comfortable, unforced flow as a sign those channels are in order. Uncommonly among the dravyas of that group, Gokshura is Madhura in both Rasa and Vipaka and Shita in Virya, so it works by nourishing rather than by drying, which is why the classics also call it Balya, strength-giving, and count it a Rasayana. Its Guru and Snigdha gunas ground Vata, the dosha the texts hold responsible for movement and release throughout the body.

Key Benefits

  • Healthy Urinary Function: the classical dravya of the Mutravaha Srotas.
  • Bala, Steady Strength: named Balya in the Nighantus, a builder rather than a reducer.
  • Cooling and Sweet: Madhura in Rasa and Vipaka, Shita in Virya, gentle on Pitta.
  • Vata Grounding: Guru and Snigdha in Guna, settling to the dosha of movement.
  • Classical Rasayana: suited to a long, unhurried course rather than short use.

Ingredients

10 g of powder contains: Gokshura, Tribulus terrestris - 10 g.

Pure, Organically grown, Unprocessed, Dried powdered herb packed in air-tight zip locked Kraft pouch to maintain aroma and freshness. All certified organic Gopala Herbs are sourced from jungle farms in South India, located in the biodiverse Western Ghats where plants naturally develop higher concentrations of active constituents. Herbs are ethically harvested using traditional harvesting techniques at peak maturity, helping ensure maximum potency, nutrition and energetic integrity.

Suggested Use

Adults, 1 or 2 g twice daily before meals with honey, ghee or warm water, or as advised by your health practitioner. Warm water is the everyday Anupana; warm milk suits a Rasayana course and matches the sweet, cooling character of the herb. Gokshuradi Guggulu is the traditional companion formulation where the Mutravaha Srotas are the focus. Ask a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner how long a course should run.
