Alarsin Leptaden is a proprietary Ayurvedic tablet formulated to support nursing mothers during the postnatal period. It is a deliberately simple preparation, resting on just two botanicals in equal measure: Jeevanti (Leptadenia reticulata) and Kamboji (Bryenia Patens). Jeevanti is among the classical Jivaniya herbs, the group Ayurveda associates with vitality and the nourishment of bodily tissues, and it carries a long traditional association with the Stanya, or breast milk. Kamboji complements it closely in this pairing.

Ayurvedic Significance

In Ayurvedic physiology, Stanya (breast milk) is an Upadhatu of Rasa Dhatu, the first and most fluid of the seven tissues. Its quantity and quality therefore follow directly from the state of Rasa, which in turn depends on Agni and on the mother's overall nourishment. The postnatal period is naturally Vata-predominant; depletion, irregular routine and disturbed sleep all unsettle Rasa Dhatu at exactly the moment more is asked of it. Jeevanti works as a Rasayana on this tissue, and its Madhura (sweet) and cooling qualities pacify both Vata and Pitta while supporting Ojas.

Key Benefits

  • Lactation support: traditionally used by nursing mothers to support the natural formation of Stanya, the Upadhatu of Rasa Dhatu.
  • Rasa Dhatu nourishment: Jeevanti acts on the first and most fluid of the seven tissues, from which breast milk is derived.
  • Postnatal Vata balance: the sweet, cooling and unctuous qualities of the formulation help settle the Vata predominance natural to this period.
  • Rasayana and Ojas support: Jeevanti is a classical Jivaniya herb, valued for sustaining strength and vitality through demanding phases.
  • Uncomplicated composition: just two botanicals at 150 mg each, without a long list of additional actives.

Ingredients

Each film coated tablet contains: Jeevanti (Leptadenia Reticulata) 150.0 mg, Kamboji (Bryenia Patens) 150.0 mg, and Excipients q.s. Preservatives Used: Methyl Paraben I.P., Propyl Paraben I.P., Sodium Benzoate I.P. Colour Used: Lake Brilliant Blue FCF & Lake Tartrazine.

Suggested Use

Traditionally, two tablets are taken two or three times daily during the nursing period, or as advised by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. Warm milk is the preferred Anupana and reinforces the formulation's nourishing action on Rasa Dhatu; warm water suits those who prefer it. Take the tablets after meals. For personalised guidance on dosage and duration, consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
