Dashmoola Quath (Kwath) Extract Tablets
Dasha means ten and Mool means root, dashmoola is therefore a group of ten roots. In Ayurveda this decoction is used for vata and kapha disorders like pain in body, numbness and stiffness.
Suggested Usages: 1-2 Tablets after meals with water or milk.
The Sanskrit word 'Dashamoola' means ten (dasha) roots (mula). This is a combination of five roots from big trees and five roots from shrubs. They are termed as 'Brihad panchamoola' and 'Laghu panchamoola', respectively. The former alleviate vata and pitta doshas. All ten roots together, alleviate all the three doshas. They predominantly alleviate vata dosha and digest the ama.
Dashamoola Kwath is recommended in conditions like asthma, fever, cough, fever, odedema, pleurisy, flatulence, dyspepsia, anorexia and especially in vata disorders. The diseases due to aggravation of vata dosha are many a times associated with pain. In sciatica, arthritis, gout, cervical and lumbar spondylosis, this formulation relieves the pain with great benefit. In tremors, esp. in Parkinson's diseases, Dashamoola Kwath respond well. As it is a potent alleviator of vata, it works well in flatulent dyspepsis. It is one of the best preparation used in puerperal diseases. Basti (enema) is given with Dashamoola Kwath in constipation.
