About Ivy:
Ivy Bridge is the owner and founder of Ivy’s Bridge to Better Health. She was born and raised in Belfast Ireland. In Ireland many home remedies for common ailments; such as vinegar for headaches and cramps. When anyone in the family got sick, her dad would go to the chemist or herbalist in town and bring back a liquid compound of medicinal herbs.
During World War II Ivy worked with the British Red Cross. After the war Ivy and her family came to America, where she learned a lot by watching her father-in-law, who was a well known pharmacist in Utah and past president of the Utah Pharmacists Association. She watched him mix and dispense herbal compounds, gaining valuable insight and knowledge about herbal remedies.
Her own interest in herbology and nutrition didn’t begin until there was sickness in her own family. At that time she began changing the eating habits of her children and husband, as well as adding vitamins, minerals and herbs to their diets.
Ivy began working and studying with a nutrition company and in 1967 opened her own office. She then moved to a well known herbal company and studied herbology under Dr. Christopher and Dr. Jensen. Ivy continued her studies and now has her Naturopathic Doctorate. She began studying iridology over thirty years ago with Dr. Jensen and Dr. Ritchason. She is now a member of International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA) and still does iridology today.
