Bhringamalakadi Oil (Certified Organic)

Bhringamalakadi Taila is popular oil ideally suited for regular long-term use for head application before bath. It promotes hair growth, acts as a coolant and induces natural sleep especially in stressed conditions.

Much like Bringaraj oil, Bringaraj Amalaki oil is a tridoshic blend that is specially formulated for treatment of the head and hair. Bringaraj, which literally means “king of the hair”, is a central ingredient for most treatments of premature greying, hair loss, and alopecia, as well as being a powerful tonic for the blood. Amalaki is a very versatile herb and is here applied to bolster the hair rejuventating benefits of Bhringraj. These two are both tridoshic, meaning that they bring balance to all three doshas, however, they are both are particularly effective in calming aggravated pitta, which is the most common cause of hair loss and discoloration.

Bhringraj herb is a sweet and cooling herb which aims its effect primarily at the blood. The blood, particularly in the bone marrow, is responsible for the production and coloring of hair. The sweet and cooling properties of Bringaraj benefit the liver and work to stabilize blood whose excessive heat prevents the production of secondary tissues like hair. It also has mild bitter and astringent effects that help to draw out toxins from the blood and glands when applied externally. Through the calming of the over-active metabolic functions of the blood Bhringraj restores balance that is necessary for the proper production of tissues. In addition, the detoxifying effects also help to reduce swelling and inflammation rendering it generally rejuvenative for a wide range of conditions.

Amla herb is also sweet and cooling with a wide range of applications, and is here included with Bhringraj to support its blood tonifying and stabilizing effects. Similarly, its cooling energy has a soothing effect on blood which is over-active while its sweetness supports the moistening and rebuilding of tissues. It is one of the strongest rejuvenatives in ayurvedic medicine being both cleansing and nourishing to all tissues. In addition, it enhances the ojas, or vital immune force, which courses through the blood and tissues throughout the body. It is also a concentrated source of many essential vitamins, rendering it a very powerful ally in any formulation.

Bhringraj and Amla herbs are combined in sesame oil maximize their effectiveness for external application. Sesame oil is regarded as one of the most sattvic, or wise, oils, as it brings calm and stability to the mind and nerves. There are many benefits of Sesame oil. It has many vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, copper, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin B6, and omega-6 fatty acids, which are both nutritive to blood and the tissues, and grounding to the mind. It is a powerful vehicle for the application of the healing benefits of Bhringraj and Amalaki as it helps to sooth the head and nerves and bring about a thorough relaxation that treats hair loss and greying at the root of the problem.

For these reasons, Bhringraj Amalaki oil is very effective in removing greying and reversing balding, while it further helps to calm the mind and promote sound sleep. It combines the hair benefits of Bhringraj hair oil with the tonifying and cleansing benefits of Amla oil. It is great for an after shower massage whether before bed or before work. It should be applied to all affected areas and gently rubbed into the skin both in circles and against the grain of the hair, thus allowing it to more easily enter the skin through the hair follicles.  It will help to darken hair, revitalize skin and other tissues, and prepare the mind for whatever lay ahead.
